The Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou is offering ravenous foodies the chance to dine on top-tier delicacies this month, from November 9-13, at its Ebony restaurant.
Italian Michelin-starred chef Stefano Baiocco will showcase an array of unique culinary creations, including salmon salad with avocado, zucchini and cucumber and quinoa soufflé and grilled beef entrecote served with salad and herb rolls with a scented citrus fruit consommé (among numerous other ingenious dishes).
Known for incorporating seasonal ingredients and using fresh herbs in his dishes, Chef Stefano will bring an amazing culinary experience to diners in Guangzhou with creations that will not only please their eyes but also stimulate their palates.
Born in Ancona, Italy, Chef Stefano graduated from Istituto Alberghiero A. Panzini hotel school in Senigallia. After graduation, he soon began to make a name in the culinary world, working at a three-Michelin-starred restaurant – Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence.
As a young aspiring chef, Stefano honed his technique in the kitchens and accumulated extensive professional experience by working in many prestigious venues with some of the world’s finest chefs including Alain Ducasse and Pierre Gagnaire.
In 2004, Chef Stefano became executive chef at the Grand Hotel Villa Feltrinelli in Gargnano, Brescia, Lake Garda, Italy, earning a Michelin star in 2007 and two
Michelin stars in 2013. Chef Stefano was also included in the Top List 2017 as one of the 100 Best Chefs in the World by Le Chef Magazine in 2016.
Diners at Ebony’s ‘Chef Stefano dinner series’ can choose from six-course and nine-course degustation dinner menus, priced at RMB888 per person and RMB1,088 per person, respectively. Dinner menus offer a choice of wine pairing at an additional cost. All prices are subject to 15 percent service charge.
